1. Who is responsible for your data

Rancho Valle Monarca (the “Ranch”), operating in Los Saucos, Valle de Bravo, State of Mexico, is responsible for the processing of your personal data under Mexico's Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP) and its implementing regulations. As a private business, the separate law governing public entities does not apply to us.

2. Personal data we collect

• Identification: full name of the guest or camper, date of birth, and details of the parent or legal guardian in the case of minors.
• Contact: phone, email, address and emergency contact.
• Stay or event: dates, number of attendees, service contracted, booking and payment history.
• Health data relevant to safety: allergies, dietary restrictions and relevant medical conditions — only if you provide them, so we can accommodate them safely.
• Image and voice in photographs or video — only with express consent, handled as a separate category (see section 5).

3. Sensitive personal data

Where applicable, the Ranch may process health data (allergies, medical conditions) necessary for guest safety during activities and for food handling. This processing is carried out with express written consent, under article 9 of the LFPDPPP.

4. Primary purposes

• Register and manage lodging, camp and event reservations.
• Identify guests, campers and guardians; manage groups, activities and meals.
• Respond to medical emergencies and follow safety protocols during the stay.
• Process payments, quotes and invoicing.
• Comply with contractual and legal obligations.

5. Photography and video — handled separately

• Dual legal basis: article 87 of Mexico's Federal Copyright Law (right to one's own image — express, revocable consent) plus the LFPDPPP (free, specific, informed, written consent) plus the best interests of the child under the General Law on the Rights of Children and Adolescents when minors are involved.
• Separate authorization: use of a minor's image is authorized through a form independent from the camp or event waiver, signed by a parent or legal guardian. Declining photography never conditions or prevents enrollment.
• Purposes: promotion on the Ranch's official social media (Instagram, Facebook), website and marketing materials. The form specifies which of these uses are authorized.
• Revocation: consent may be revoked in writing at any time. The Ranch stops using the image in new materials from that point forward. Materials already published or printed before revocation are not retroactively withdrawn unless the law requires it.
• Minors without photo authorization: the Ranch may still document the event generally, but excludes or blurs any minor without authorization in material that is published or distributed.

6. Secondary purposes

• Sharing news about upcoming camps, events, seasons and promotions.
• Satisfaction surveys and service improvement.

You may refuse or withdraw consent for secondary purposes at any time by writing to the Ranch's contact address.

7. Data transfers

The Ranch does not sell personal data. Information is transferred only where there is a legal obligation, a request from a competent authority, a medical emergency, or an operational need involving processors that provide services to the Ranch (for example, systems or web hosting providers) under a duty of confidentiality.

8. Your ARCO rights

Under Mexican law you may exercise your rights of Access, Rectification, Cancellation and Objection (known as ARCO rights), and withdraw your consent, by sending a request including:

• Name of the data subject (or of the parent or guardian, in the case of a minor) and a means of reply.
• A document proving identity or legal representation.
• A clear description of the data and the right you wish to exercise.
• Any detail that helps us locate your record.

9. Limiting use or disclosure

You may request that we limit the use of your data for promotional or image purposes by email to the Ranch.

10. Cookies and tracking technologies

This website may use technical and analytics cookies for functionality, security and experience improvement. You can disable them in your browser; doing so may affect certain features, such as the quote form.

11. Retention and security

Your data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the stated purposes and applicable legal obligations. The Ranch implements reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures to protect it against damage, loss, alteration, destruction or unauthorized access.

12. Changes to this policy

The Ranch may update this policy for regulatory, operational or service-model reasons. Changes are published at vallemonarca.com/privacy with the update date.
