- Non-refundable payments: except as expressly stated in the cancellation policy in effect, payments already made are not refunded.
6. Health, safety and use of the property
Guests and organizers agree to comply with the Ranch's Ranch Rules and Regulations, which distinguish three operating scenarios: lodging and camps operated by the Ranch, venue rental for adult groups, and third-party activities contracted directly by the client (horseback riding, zip lines and similar).
Risk acknowledgment waiver — mandatory
The adult guest or legal guardian signs a Risk Acknowledgment Waiver before the stay, acknowledging that:
- Outdoor activities carry ordinary inherent risks: forest terrain, campfires and physical activity.
- The Ranch maintains supervision and reasonable safety measures in the facilities and activities it operates directly.
- For activities contracted by the client to third parties, the vendor is responsible for its own operation under the admission checklist in the Ranch Rules; the Ranch neither operates nor supervises them.
- This acknowledgment does not release the Ranch from liability for negligence, willful misconduct, gross fault or breach of its own legal obligations.
- The consumer does not waive non-waivable rights under Mexico's Federal Consumer Protection Law (LFPC).
7. Valid limits of liability
- The Ranch does not require any waiver of non-waivable consumer rights.
- There is no release for negligence, willful misconduct, gross fault or the Ranch's own breach.
- Liability for the conduct of external vendors contracted directly by the client is governed by section 5 of the Ranch Rules.
- Guests and guardians agree to disclose relevant medical conditions — allergies, dietary restrictions, health conditions — before the stay begins.
- The Ranch is not responsible for valuables left unsecured on the property.
8. Image and personal data
Use of photographs, video or recordings for advertising, institutional or promotional purposes occurs only with express written authorization from the subject or their legal representative, under Mexico's Federal Copyright Law (art. 87) and the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP).
For minors, this authorization is a document separate from the activity waiver: declining to appear in photos or video never prevents participation in the camp or event.
Processing of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual property
The text, design, logo (monarch butterfly), photographs and other elements of this site and the Ranch's materials are protected under applicable law. Reproduction or use without written authorization is prohibited.
10. Food service
Food service operates under NOM-251-SSA1-2009, the Mexican federal food-hygiene standard, per the Ranch's internal sanitation manual. It is the guest's or guardian's responsibility to disclose allergies or dietary restrictions far enough in advance for the kitchen to plan around them.
11. Changes to these terms
The Ranch may update these terms as needed for operational or regulatory reasons. The version in effect is the one published on the official website, with its update date.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are interpreted under applicable Mexican law, including as relevant the Federal Consumer Protection Law, the LFPDPPP, the Federal Copyright Law, the official tourism standards (NOM-06-TUR-2017, NOM-011-TUR-2001, NOM-09-TUR-2002, NOM-010-TUR-2001) and applicable health regulations (NOM-251-SSA1-2009). In the event of a dispute, the parties will first seek a conciliatory resolution.
